The Hill's Fort Society is
priviledged to have two outstanding speakers associated with our group.
William
"Bill" Wilson: Bill is a retired college educator whose
interests
currently lie in early Bond County history and the history of the
Grotts family in America. He is the primary author of 'The
Tales
of Hill's Fort', 'Forts and Blockhouses of Early Illinois', 'Hill's
Fort, the Tales Continue', and a recent book on the history of the
Grotts Family.
Kevin Kaegy: Kevin is a noted
local speaker versed in Abraham Lincoln and his family. Teh
Civil
War Illinois 130th Regiment is a favorite of Kevin's, along with the
many Bond County History stories. His knowledge of Early
Illinois
Forts and Blockhouses is also very impressive. Kevin has been
a
design and sales specialist at Markus Cabinets in Aviston, IL., for 16
years.
Both Bill and Kevin are officers of the Illinois War of 1812
Bicentennial Commission.
